Fed laat rente ongemoeid

De Federal Reserve heeft conform verwachting de rente ongemoeid gelaten. Dit bleek woensdag na afloop van de monetaire vergadering van de Amerikaanse centrale bank.
Opnieuw was het rentebesluit unaniem.
De rente staat op het historisch lage tarief van 0 tot 0,25 procent.
Kort voor het bekendmaken van het rentebesluit noteerde Wall Street in het groen. De Dow Jones index won een half procent en de breder samengestelde S&P500 index 0,4 procent. Techbeurs Nasdaq koerste 0,1 procent hoger.
De euro/dollar werd verhandeld op 1,1050.
